They were just opening up s...I remember those days. They were just opening up some women's sports during my high school years. I remember cross country (yay!), track and gymnastics. I think you are right - I seldom pass anyone, but on the rare occasion when I do, I feel bad. Plus, I carry that guilt over into the workplace, feeling bad if I ask others to do more work, or sometimes even carry their share. My boss and I were just talking about that inclination this afternoon - the college is asking for more work from us, and because it would benefit students, we both feel guilty saying no. She reminded me it is about work-quality-of-life and how important it is. The bottom line is, I do think it's part of our genderization within the culture and permeates more than just sports.
